  • The Autocars Dominique & B.E. green group formalizes an order for 10 coaches retrofitted to hydrogen by the GCK group. These Iveco Crossway model coaches will join the fleet of 140 vehicles of the Autocars Dominique & B.E. green group and will contribute to its decarbonization.
  • This is a new large-scale order for the GCK group, which is positioning itself in “medium-distance” coaches and leveraging its expertise with a 360° offer around carbon-free mobility.

Lempdes, March 30th, 2023 – The Autocars Dominique & B.E. green group has chosen Green Corp Konnection (GCK) to accelerate the greening of its fleet of transport vehicles with an order for 10 coaches retrofitted to hydrogen.

This new order is an illustration of the ability of the GCK group and its subsidiaries (here GCK Mobility and GCK Battery) to offer a 360° offer around carbon-free mobility. Indeed, in addition to the retrofit that will be carried out by GCK Mobility teams on the Lempdes industrial site, the batteries installed in the coaches will be supplied by GCK Battery.

GCK Mobility will transform these Crossway model Iveco coaches by replacing the diesel engine and gearbox with a 370kW electric motor, batteries and an H2 fuel cell. The operation will make it possible to retain all the seats and luggage compartments while the vehicle will offer a range of 300 km thanks to a recharging capacity at 700 bars in 15 minutes.

After receiving several orders for “long-distance” coaches, GCK is leveraging its technological expertise and strengthening its range of retrofitted heavy vehicles, with “medium-distance” coaches dedicated to school transport in urban areas.

Two actors committed to the decarbonization of transport

This order allows the two groups to pursue their common ambition to decarbonize transport while promoting the circular economy. These vehicles meet the requirements of new forms of mobility, which are more respectful of the environment.

These 10 hydrogen retrofitted coaches join the Autocars Dominique & B.E. green group fleet of 140 vehicles, 79% of which are low-carbon thanks to a thermal, CNG, electric and hydrogen energy mix. The group is thus continuing its energy transition by once again offering zero-emission mobility solutions to its customers and reducing the carbon footprint linked to public transport.

For GCK, which will support the Autocars Dominique & B.E. green group in the monitoring and maintenance of vehicles, it is further proof of the consistency of its model and the reliability of its expertise, thus confirming its status as a reference in the decarbonization of transport.

Éric Boudot, CEO of GCK, declares: “I am very happy to formalize this order which demonstrates the diversity of our 360° offer around carbon-free mobility. This project is part of a positive start to the year with a capital increase and new commercial projects that allow us to pursue our strategic development. »

Patrick Mignucci, CEO Autocars Dominique and Founding Manager of B.E. green, declares: “In the continuity of our commitment, we are particularly proud to be able to operate the very first hydrogen coaches retrofitted by a French manufacturer and thus showcase our know-how at numerous events. sporting and cultural events taking place in France in 2024.”
